BodyStat 1500

The Bodystat 1500 is a whole body bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) device used to measure lean body mass and body fat percentage. The Bodystat 1500 sends a minuscule electric current through the body and measures the resistance to the flow of the current, from which a body fat percentage is derived. 

The gold standard for measuring body fat percentage is DEXA scanning. However, the Bodystat 1500 is more cost effective, portable and has proven to be highly accurate. 

At Empower Fitness, we recognise the benefits of body fat percentage measurement, both as a tool to track fitness goal, and as a motivation tool. Measurement with the Bodystat 1500 is a value-added service provided by us at no additional cost to the customer.
